Witnesses and Event
At night, Beau Shertzer and a young nurse were driving a Red Cross bloodmobile on State Highway 2 near Huntington, West Virginia. They noticed a flash of light in the nearby woods, followed by a white glow that rose slowly and moved toward their vehicle.
Approach and Pursuit
Shertzer accelerated, but the object positioned itself above the vehicle and kept pace alongside. He saw an extension being lowered toward the roof, and another arm on the passenger side, as if in a pincer movement.
Termination
The object withdrew as the lights of oncoming vehicles appeared. No further interaction followed.
