Incident
On March 12, 1967 at 19:15, Larry Burke observed an object with flashing red, green, and white lights southwest of McIntosh, South Dakota. He collected his friends Dick Makens, Junior Edinger, and Charles Warren to take a look. On a country road a mile west of the town they saw four glaring fluorescent green lights hovering low over the road.
Encounter
As they drove uphill toward them, their car's engine died. Alarmed, they let the vehicle roll back downhill, whereupon the engine started again. The witnesses differed in their accounts of the size, shape, and altitude of the lights.
