On March 6, 1967 at 4:25, Deputy Sheriff Frank Courson in Knox County, Illinois saw an object shaped like a rubber cup under a furniture leg, with a dome inside. The lower part rotated rapidly and the rim pulsed red. It approached at low altitude, passed over him, and produced a hissing sound.
Further Observations
Police officer Bill Fisher from Moline filmed the object near the Sacred Heart Catholic School. Reports mention a balloon explanation, but eyewitnesses described it as large and unusual.
