Beijing: Bullet-shaped UFO circles overhead
On April 25, 1981, Du Shengyuan spotted a bullet-shaped object circling above Beijing at 7 a.m., later hovering directly overhead at over 6,500 feet. Observed by about 20 witnesses through binoculars, it had a white middle and luminous green bottom before vanishing at 7:25 a.m.

On April 25, 1981 at 7:00, Du Shengyuan noticed an unusual object circling over Beijing, China. After trying in vain to contact the media, he went outside again and saw it hovering directly above him at more than 6,500 feet.
Description
Through binoculars he made out a bullet-shaped form, which varied its speed and at times held still. The middle section appeared white, the lower part glowed green. It moved out of view at 7:25.
Witnesses and Significance
Around 20 people observed the phenomenon in all. The sighting is documented in sources such as the book by Paul Dong and Wendelle Stevens and is among the early modern UFO observations in China.
