DVIDS is a 24/7 operation that was formerly run by the Defense Media Activity (DMA) and, according to its current website, is owned by the Department of War Information Activity (DWIA). It provides a timely, accurate and reliable connection between media worldwide and the military, distributing broadcast-quality video, images, and print products from military operations. Content is created by U.S. military personnel, U.S. Government agencies and contractors.
