Meeting and Decision

On April 18, 2013, members of the Brazilian ufologists' commission met representatives of the Brazilian armed forces at the defence ministry in Brasília. The aim was to obtain military records of UFO sightings. Those present agreed that files of the navy, the army, and the air force should be published under the access to information act.

Release of the Documents

More than 10,000 pages of previously secret records were made available to the public. They can be consulted at the National Archives in Brasília and are available online. This marked a significant step toward transparency in UFO matters.
