On July 29, 1952, Air Force Reserve Lt. Col. Robert G. LeCompte observed at least 10 luminous objects over Albuquerque, New Mexico, changing from random positions to a V-formation and then two rows.

Witness and Observation
Air Force Reserve Lt. Col. Robert G. LeCompte reported a group of at least 10 luminous objects passing over Albuquerque, New Mexico at 21:15. The objects appeared at first overhead without clear formation and moved north.
Course of Movement
They then formed into a V formation before shifting into two parallel lines. These rapid changes of formation were taken to indicate controlled flight.
