Albuquerque: Triangular object with lights
High-school student Chris Kauffman observed a triangular object with 12 orange lights flying low over Albuquerque, NM, on July 18, 1958. It moved north to south at moderate speed for about 10 seconds.

On July 18, 1958 at 20:30, high school student Chris Kauffman was lying in a field in Albuquerque, New Mexico looking at the night sky. He noticed an equilateral triangular object passing directly overhead from north to south.
Object Details
The object flew with one point leading, at a speed of 70β100 mph and an altitude of 1,000 feet. It showed 12 small orange lights along its edges and was visible for about 10 seconds. The sky was clear.
Significance
This sighting of a flying triangle by a young witness adds to the record of early triangular UAP. No military connections are known, but it fits the wave of reports in 1958.
