Albuquerque: Bill Moore contacts 'Falcon' from Kirtland AFB
Bill Moore was phoned from Kirtland Air Force Base after a radio show and met 'Falcon', starting ties with intelligence figures opposed to UFO secrecy. He agreed to share info and spread disinformation targeting Paul Bennewitz and APRO.
Background
Event
On September 8, 1980 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Bill Moore received a call after a radio broadcast from someone at Kirtland Air Force Base. He later met the man, referred to as 'Falcon' and described as elderly and gaunt, in a restaurant. This began a long-running connection with ten members of an obscure group with links to military intelligence, who claimed to oppose the concealment of UFOs.
Revelations
The group shared details of the Roswell incident, including extraterrestrial bodies, and of a living alien from 1949 designated an Extraterrestrial Biological Entity (EBE). This being was housed at Los Alamos until its death in the early 1950s and was said to be the first of three such entities in government custody.
Collaboration and Disinformation
Moore chose to cooperate with these AFOSI sources and to pass data to them. They showed a strong interest in Paul Bennewitz and commissioned him to monitor Bennewitz and APRO. He was to flood them with false information supplied by Richard Doty and others. This marks the beginning of extensive disinformation campaigns in the UFO field.
